An adventure up north awaited us...we just had to drive for 2 days to make it there! But car trips present their own adventures.Listening to books on tape (The Magic Treehouse series is very popular here, Roald Dahl's BFG was not as loved by the boys.) and staying in hotels. Seeing the St Louis Arch and hoping none of the highways we needed were flooded (they weren't).
Some little boys wake up early, ready to get on with the adventure, others sleep in very very late at hotels, something they don't do at home.
