Baking and Cooking with Kids
We're on another cooking spree with the boys. Yesterday and today we've made 5 things from cookbooks they've selected. Last nights' dinner was quesadilla bites, tonights' was chicken dippers. Delicious and made by the boys! (I'm the sous chef). We've also had easy cheesy rolls, indoor s'mores and peanut butter bears.

Jedi training birthday
Dinoguy's birthday party was a jedi training party for a few friends. Everyone brought their light saber and engaged in pod races, a jedi training course, light saber training, freeing Han Solo & destroying the death star before having some tasty light saber cake, yoda soda and ice cream. It was declared a really fun birthday party by the birthday boy so it was a success. Amusingly, I made him a jedi cape to wear specifically for his party and while he liked it perhaps it wasn't convenient for running because it was not worn more than the first 2 minutes.

7 years
Dinoguy is 7 years old now. Here are a couple photos from his actual birthday, which was a happy day.
He got some dipped chocolate fruit for breakfast.
And a bionicle present mid morning before we went to the park.
Then we had a simple dinosaur shaped cake for dessert, it was the second cake I made that day, the first one completely fell apart, so I didn't get to do a nice frosting job. He didn't care. I love boys.

Dirt pudding
In simple cooking class we made dirt pudding after reading about monster and ghost cooking for Halloween. Here are the kids enjoying their "dirt". It was fun seeing their reactions to dirt pudding for the first time. We also looked thru a fun cookbook called Gross Out Cakes. It is a classic full of fun ideas for icky looking (but tasty) food.

Beautiful baby pics
Munchkin's beautiful hair means that people don't like me to put things on her head because it hides her hair. Which makes me pout some because I waited a long time to have a baby girl and dress her up and make things for her to wear.Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Horses & goats
We were invited to a fun birthday party at a farm. Dinoguy got to ride a pony, we got up close and personal with a lot of goats and met some other farm animals. I decided it was time to go after the goats tried to eat the sling I had Munchkin wrapped in. They also tried to eat the camera strap and my purse. Anything they could get their mouths on. Goats are not my favorites.

Baby friends
Here Fixitman holds Munchkin and her favorite baby friend to hug. She's younger than Munchkin and not able to defend herself against Munchkin's loving attacks yet. Munchkin really loves to hug her. I don't have any photos of it because we're too busy pulling Munchkin off her friend who does not appreciate the hugs yet.
