I saw on a television program that some women eat the placenta after birth. Their reasoning is that it contains vitamins and minerals and protein that the mother needs for milk production and the strains of labor. What do you think about that?

We were at a birth center, and they will let you keep the placenta if you want. I kept it until I'd shown it to the kids.
